Have you ever come to yoga class feeling a bit overwhelmed with stress or just kind of down? And then when you leave you feel clearer, lighter, refreshed? Sure, we could chalk it up to just a good workout, but some would say that certain yoga poses and breathwork moved blocked energy through your body. And with a little practice, you can tap into this as a way to shift your energy in the direction you want it to go. Essentially “balancing” your chakras or, your energy ~ your chi ~ your prana.
In Sanskrit, the ancient language of yoga, the word chakra means “wheel” or “circle”. There are seven main chakras in the body that represent our vital energy centers. You cannot see them or touch them – it is where your energy (prana) flows. Balanced chakras allow energy to flow freely, promoting health, vitality, and harmony. But life…
