About Brianna: Brianna Taylor (she/her) is a multidisciplinary movement artist, choreographer, facilitator, yoga instructor and bodyworker born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Her work as an artist and educator is rooted in collaboration and community care, improvisation and experimentation, and practices of listening to and honoring the wisdom of the body. Brianna carries a rich movement history that has been deeply enriched by the study of many forms including Modern/Contemporary, West African and Afro-Cuban dance, Improvisation, Yoga, Tai Chi, Salsa, Flamenco, Butoh, and various somatic practices. Her performance and teaching work have been shared around and outside the U.S., and her facilitation reflects an eclectic blend of her moving, creative and performance history. Brianna has been teaching dance and yoga to students of all ages since 2003, and she honors all of the teachers she’s had the privilege to learn from along the way. Brianna believes that movement and creative practice holds a rich possibility for us to connect deeper to ourselves and each other, and she aims to facilitate spaces that uplift and celebrate our wholeness.

Brianna is the co-director and caretaker of Confluence Arts Center. She holds an MFA in Choreography from the UNC Greensboro, as well yoga teaching certifications from the Laughing Lotus in San Francisco, and the Eldorado Mountain Yoga Ashram in Colorado, totaling over 500 hours. Brianna is also currently an adjunct professor of dance at the University of Florida. Brianna’s intention as a facilitator/practitioner is to hold space for individuals to find openness and ease in their bodies, through movement, breath, alignment, and sound, and she encourages an environment of listening and nurturing, playfulness and love.
