About the event
Description: Come play, sound and move in this brave space of radical permission to freely express all of your Self. In this healing playshop, we will reclaim the voice as the muscle of the soul, a sacred pathway to inner freedom, empowerment, and embodied authenticity. Our time together will include:
- expressive games to help us shed self-judgment and playfully step outside our normal range of expression
- experiential voice + movement to bring the voice back home to the body
- improvisational playgrounds where we say yes to what feels good and rekindle our creative impulses
- meditation and embodied touch to practice receiving our unique resonance.
No singing experience needed! We are not trying to control our voice into sounding a certain way. We are unraveling cultural conditioning around what the voice should and shouldn’t sound like, who we should and shouldn’t be, so that we may uncover our authentic voice, and unbridle our truest Self. We honor every voiced sound as a sacred aspect of Self, welcoming dynamic and diverse range of expression. As we uncover new sounds and reach new heights or depths in our vocal range, we meet more parts of our Self. We come to experience our soul Self through sound.
Timing: September 14, 1pm-3pm
Tiered Pricing: $20, $40, $60
$20 = Scholarship - for those who need financial support
